The DAA Alpha-XiP magazine pouch is a more affordable version of our flag-ship Alpha-Xi pouch. By incorporating an injection-moulded pouch body instead of the CNC machined aluminum and anodized pouch body of the Alpha-Xi, we are able to offer all the same great features at a substantially lower price!

The Polymer used in the pouch body of the Alpha-XiP is a glass-fiber reinforced PA66 material, which is extremely hard and durable. This allows us to  use the same mounting system as used in the aluminum body. Other than the pouch body material itself, the Alpha XiP and Alpha Xi are identical. Both incorporate the same Aluminum ball-joint hanger and include a full set of spacers to support a wide array of magazines.
The Polymer body is not only cheaper than the aluminum option, but it also will not show scratches or wear over time as the aluminum tends to. And while it does not use color inlays as the Alpha-Xi does – it is currently available in 7 striking colors, including Black, Blue, Red, Grey, White, Purple and Orange.

The Alpha XiP pouch body offers 8 connection points to choose from – three height positions each for Right-hand or Left-hand shooters, and two height options for bullets-out mounting. A Key-seat engagement is used in combination with the custom wide-head screw, to prevent any possible wiggle, movement or weakness.

The ball joint is held in the aluminum belt hanger using a pressure coupling with a large T25 Torx M6 Screw. This offers a totally secure lock up and the option to make minute adjustments to the pouch’s angle and tilt.
To further elevate the quality and durability of the product, the Allen screws have all been replaced with T20 and T25 Torx-head screws, and a custom made key which incorporates both these sizes is included.
The Alpha-XiP utilizes the wrap-around spacers, which align all magazine sizes in the center of the pouch body, while fully enveloping them with polymer, to prevent any possible binding and to create the smoothest draw of the magazine.
The spacer system incorporates a height-adjustable bridge support under the magazine, allowing the user to determine how deeply the magazine seats into the pouch.

Three sets of spacers are included as standard with every pouch, to fit all double-stack magazines (excluding the very large Glock/HK .45 mags). A single-stack spacer adaptor is available too and is sold as an accessory.

The Alpha-Xi magazine pouches have evolved from the Alpha-X pouches introduced in early 2018. We listened to customer-feedback, both positive and negative, and worked to develop our next general pouch that builds on the strongest features of the Alpha-X pouch, while addressing and resolving its weaknesses.

The new pouch has a striking modern look with large side cut-outs around the tension wheel. The smaller wheel used is not only convenient to rotate but now make it possible to easily mount a large magnet on the outside face of the pouch body.

The main advancement  in the Alpha-Xi design is the manner in which the belt-hanger ball-joint attaches to the pouch body. The dove-tail solution from the Alpha-X were occasionally a weak point when the pouches were hit hard, as when going prone or catching a magazine on a barricade or table edge. In the new Alpha-Xi design, the ball-joint is attached using a custom-made wide-head screw which fits through the aluminum side wall of the pouch, making it extremely durable and strong.

The Same Race Master Insert Blocks!

With its improved performance, simplicity and striking new looks, the Alpha-X is poised to become the next Race Holster of choice for shooters worldwide.

The Race Master belt-hanger is sleek and modern, showing off the pattern and color of your shooting belt. But it is designed for more than looks alone.
The hanger is attached to the belt by means of two spring-steel flat clasps that are screw-tightened on the inside of the shooting belt. This design prevents any separation between the inner and outer belts, ensuring that the Velcro layers firmly hold together at this crucial point. 

While the Race Master Holster is gun-specific, it is designed to enable you to switch from one gun to another without having to buy a complete new holster. All you have to do is change the relatively inexpensive locking-block assembly, available separately.

DAA upgraded this from plastic to aluminum, and redesigned the manner in which the height adjustment and vertical lock-up are achieved. The PDR PRO-II now has a set-screw in the ball itself, which can be accessed from its inner side, to allow the user the ability of height adjustment to any position, not just in the predetermined 10 mm steps as previously. Additionally, the height adjustment can now be achieved without dismantling the holster and without losing any of the other settings.

The new rail attaches to the holster body in alignment to the pistol’s slide, which increases the range of adjustment in the ball joint, which in turn allows the user to bring the pistol much closer to the body than with the previous rail design.

The pouch is completely ambidextrous, allowing easy mounting for left hand or right had users. And you can even mount the pouch at 90deg away from the body, just as you can in the RM version.

The belt-hanger of the pouch utilizes the same minimalist steel plate design, which eliminates separation between your inner and outer belt. The belt hanger has been simplified though - there is no ball joint as in the aluminum RM pouch, as that could simply not be realized in plastic in this size. However, the pouch can be adjusted for tilt in very small steps, allowing each shooter to find the right angle for their preference. Once the correct angle is set, and the centre screw tightened, the serrations in the connector piece lock up, preventing any possibility of the pouch rotating until the centre screw is loosened several turns.

The aluminum construction, allows design and performance not previously possible in a competition mag pouch. The DAA Race Master Mag Pouch provides a wider and more diverse range of adjustability and mounting options. But, even more importantly, it locks solid tight into the selected position until the user chooses to change them.

The wide range of angle adjustments allow the user to position these magazines just as one wants them. This feature, combined with a unique and superior retention system, creates a smoother and more consistent release, which in turn leads to a more reliable and faster reload.

A must have item for those "pick up the mag" stages. With this custom made magnetic mag holder, you can slap your extra magazine onto your belt as fast as you can pick it up from the table! Never again waste precious time fumbling to insert a magazine into your magazine pouches!

How to select the correct belt size: (do not select based on your pant size!)

1. Measure you actual waist circumference at the height where you plan to wear your belt.
2. Convert your measurements into Inches (1inch = 2.54cm)
3. Order the belt size which matches your measurement. Round upwards: if you measured 39”, order a belt size 40”.
